Why do the walkers ignore Michonne on tonight's episode of 'The Walking Dead'?

The walkers ignore Michonne because she just smells like death. It's like what Rick did at the beginning of the series, smearing himself with walker guts.

If you've watched the first season, in one of the first episodes Rick and Glenn cover themselves in zombie guts to walk through the crowd in Atlanta to get to the vehicles.
